Payment Options

Children’s Neuropsychological Services offers a variety of payment options and is a fee-for-service private practice that is also a credentialed provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Optum, Point32Heath, and Aetna. We actively work with insurance carriers to determine your insurance coverage for our services. We currently accept:

• BlueCross Blue Shield
• Harvard Pilgrim
• Tufts Commercial
• United Healthcare
• MassGeneral Brigham
• Aetna

Depending upon your plan, a pre-authorization may or may not be necessary before we can provide service. We typically submit the authorization the same day as your call and the insurance usually takes 3 – 4 business days to make a determination, at which point we call you with the results.   We are committed to scheduling your child as soon as possible after insurance confirmation.

If you have an insurance plan we are not credentialed with, you can still use our services. Not being credentialed with your insurance plan means that Children’s Neuropsychological Services is considered an “Out of Network” provider. Clients using our service as Out of Network providers pay for the evaluation at the time of service; we will provide an invoice that you can submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.

All payments are payable by check; we also will accept American Express, Discover, Visa and Mastercard as alternative payment options.
